Archived Artwork - 2005 and earlier

I painted two large wall murals for the show "Exquisite Corpse" presented in an abandoned coffee factory in downtown Houston.

These two paintings are from around 2004. I used thin acrylic washes, ink, pencil, and pastels. The veritcal one is roughly 2x3 ft and the horizontal is about 3x4 ft.

These are from my show, "Popiland", at Lawndale Art Center in 2005. I painted houses from my neighborhood on the slowely gentrifying southeast side of Houston. I enjoyed focusing on the power lines that draped between rooftops.

For the exhibition "We the Organizers, Present..." I invited people to create paper mache characters, and then presented an installation as part of a group show at the Commerce Street Artists Warehouses also in Houston.

Two acrylic and ink pieces completed around the same time in 2005 and shown in downtown Houston at "Dean's".

And finally, some random doodles.

Thanks for looking.
